Final Version

Ryan's ideas for the children's film:

For the children's film my ideas where to:
  • Have a chase scene where the 2 bad guy ninjas chase the main character.
  • 2 (bad guy) ninjas that would travel and use parkour/free running to get to the main character who is also a ninja (good guy).
  • To make this a comedy i thought that the main character should be eating with chop sticks that he could use as a weapon to disarm his foes who have swords and other weapons, but the main character would win overall and also all the main character wants to do is finish his noodles even during the fight.
  • Another idea was to get the 2 bad guys to put something in the main characters food which would make the main character appear drunk which then when he seems helpless is more dangerous as he uses the drunken fist fighting style.
  • and at the end he would wake up in a place such as a class room where he was sleeping.
Credits wise i was thinking of putting credits:
  • On the blade of a sword
  • On a wall after a ninja has run across it
  • next to the sun or on a cloud above the main character
  • on the floor where the 2 ninjas had just run past as a close up of their feet.
Costume and mise en scene, i was thinking of using:

  • lots of black clothing
  • a balaclava or scarf and hooded jumper
  • some sort of weaponry for the bad guys to use which look dangerous
  • the main character ninja should use a bowl and chop sticks as well as noodles in the bowl which he can also utilize as weapons to disarm his enemies.
Location:

I was thinking of using the art block on campus where the main character is found because it looks similar to a dojo.

Music:

I am hoping to use something relatively oriental japan sounding music with pan flutes, drums and large cymbals and gongs, and for action scene's use faster tempo music with bass guitar, other electric instruments and synthesizers.

Special effects, editing and camera angles:

For actions scenes would could film the action with all of us moving slowly then speed it up slightly, and use panning shots, and quick cutting to emphasize the speed and power of the martial arts.
